It is time for Summer Reading at Bowling Green Public Library! The theme for 2024 is Adventure Begins At Your Library. We are excited about two different options we are offering - a weekly, in-person program for children Pre K - 6th grade and a summer reading incentive you can do on your own, at home.

"Adventurous Wednesdays" is our weekly in-person program that meets each Wednesday in July:

      July 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31

          - Pre K - 2nd Grade meets 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

          - 3rd - 6th Grade meets 11:00 a.m. - Noon

Each week we will have a different program that includes guest speakers, art projects and other fun activities. Pre-registration is required because space is limited. Stop by the library to pick up a registration packet or call us to have one emailed to you. Registration begins May 22 and ends June 15. Space is limited and applications are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.

"Bookmark Summer Reading Challenge" is separate from our in-person program. Both children who are signed up for our in-person program, as well as those who are not able to join us may participate in the Bookmark Challenge. You will receive a bookmark and packet that explains the reading challenge. Each child meeting their goal will earn a prize at the end of summer and will be entered into a drawing for a bigger prize. Prizes are limited to readers that just completed Pre K up to 5th grade. This challenge runs from June 1 through August 1, 2024. Once you are registered, start reading!
